    Itai was the offensive coordinator of the 2010 IFAF World Team and recently served as an assistant coach with the Japan national team at the 2011 IFAF Senior World Championship. He is the offensive coordinator at Kansai University and helped Japan win the bronze medal at the 2009 IFAF Junior World Championship in Canton, Ohio, as quarterbacks and wide receivers coach. He played wide receiver for the Amsterdam Admirals in NFL Europe and was named to the all-star team of the 2003 IFAF Senior World Championship as Japan was crowned world champions.

    Leijten, John

    A newcomer to the IFAF World Team, Leijten led the Australian national team at the IFAF Senior World Championship. He also coached in NFL Europe, participating in the 2005 and 2006 World Bowl with the Amsterdam Admirals, winning in 2005. He also won the German Bowl with the Cologne Crocodiles in 2000.

    Manera, Paul

    Last year, Manera served as the IFAF World Team offensive coordinator. In 2007 he was the head coach of the Australia Outback senior national team. A three-year letterman at the University Of Hawaii from 1989-91, he played offensive tackle and was an Academic All-Western Athletic Conference selection in 1991. He served as a student assistant coach at Hawaii and has also coached in the Japanese X League with the Recruit Seagulls in Tokyo and extensively in his native Australia.

    Ta'ase, Suaese "Pooch"

    The head coach of Faga’itua High School in Pago, Pago, Ta’ase was the World Team linebackers coach in 2010. Ta’ase graduated from Louisana Tech University before returning to American Samoa to coach at his alma mater. He is the managing and coordinating director of the new USA Football Eastern Star Amerika Samoa program, a non-profit organization leading the development of youth and international amateur football in American Samoa.

    Von Garnier, Maximilian

    The head coach and offensive coordinator Hamburg Blue Devils since 2008, his team won the German Junior Bowl in 1999. Von Garnier also is the offensive coordinator of the German Junior National team, which finished fifth at the 2009 IFAF Under-19 World Championship, and the wide receivers coach for Germany’s 2010 men’s national team, which won the European Championship. He played one season with the NFL Europe with the Düsseldorf Rhein Fire and accumulated 10,037 yards and 774 points with the Hamburg Blue Devils. He is a four-time German Bowl winner and three-time Eurobowl winner.

    Bjorokman, Stefan

    Bjorkman has established himself as a successful offensive line coach with one of Sweden’s top club teams, the Stockholm Mean Machines, winning 10 national championships. During his playing career, Bjorkman was selected as part of the Operation Discovery program as an offensive guard with the San Antonio Roughriders of the World League in 1991 under head coach Mike Riley.

    Faulds led Canada to a silver medal as a player at the 2011 IFAF Senior World Championship, defeating Japan to reach the Gold Medal game. He was named to the tournament’s second All-Star team. Faulds led the University of Western Ontartio to back-to-back Yates Cup championships in 2007 and 2008 and was named the game’s most valuable player. He finished his career in 2009 as the CIS all-time passing leader with 10,811 yards.

    Hill, Wayne

    Hill is Great Britain’s University of Birmingham head coach. The Lions have reached the playoffs each of the 14 years that Hill has been involved with the program. In 2005, Hill led the Lions to a College Bowl XIX title, completing a 12-0 season. In 2006, the Lions became the first team to complete three straight undefeated (8-0) regular seasons. As a defensive coordinator, the Birmingham Lions won the National Championship in 2009 and 2010 and in 2011 Hill returned as head coach.

    Lira, head coach of the youth football program ITESM-CEM, played in NFL Europe for three seasons as a member of the Frankfurt Galaxy and Berlin Thunder. He helped Frankfurt to a NFL Europe World Bowl Championship in 2003. He was ranked third in the league with a 22.5 kickoff return average for Berlin in 2005 and appeared in World Bowl XII for Frankfurt in 2004, producing a World Bowl record 64-yard kickoff return. Lira played for the NFL’s Carolina Panthers as a member of the NFL International Practice Squad Program.
